Size
The dimensions are 33ft. (10m) x 64ft. (19.4m) x 25ft. (7.8m) ceiling height.
The high ceiling of the hall accommodates indoor sporting activities and there is ample space for a bouncy castle. The beech floor is suitable for dancing activities as well as exercise classes.
Capacity
The hall which is centrally heated, accommodates up to 270 people standing, 200 seated theatre style and up to 150 seated at tables.
Raised stage
There is a raised stage with curtains 33ft. (10m) x 15ft. (4.6m) and back changing rooms. A full stage lighting system is available under a separate hire charge. A new upright piano is situated on the stage, as well as an older one in the main hall. (separate hire conditions apply).

Lighting
The hall is equipped with high overhead lighting for sporting activities and dimmable wall uplighters for normal use. There are electrically operated roof windows with blackout blinds.
Electrical equipment
Full surround sound AV system with Blu-ray playback and Free Sat with digital projection onto a large back projection screen which is electronically mounted at the front of the stage is also available. Bluetooth connectivity to the surround sound speakers is also available. PA system with two stick mic's and four lapel mic's and stage connections for further mic's. The audio visual system and PA are available under separate hire conditions. Free Wi Fi coverage is available throughout the building.*
Tables and chairs
Table and chairs are provided, both cabaret style round tables or small and large rectangular ones. There are 150 upholstered chairs, 48 plastic chairs and 50 armed plastic chairs. Table cloths are also available subject to being returned laundered.*
Catering facilities
The kitchen, to the rear of the hall, is included in the hire. See our kitchen page for more information.
The hall is fully licensed for public entertainment, music and dance, sports and the sale of alcohol.
Other considerations
A small paved outside area is accessible from the hall’s double doors.
Currently the Village Nursery uses the hall on weekday mornings during term time (see link to Nursery), and the Village Cinema holds regular monthly showings (see link to the Cinema).

The main hall is very popular with a variety of regular activities on during the term time. The Village Nursery use it weekday mornings plus Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Other regular users include: The Village Cinema, Brownies and Guides, The Horticultural Society, The WI, Badminton, and Pilates.
